Prof. Andi Smart, accompanied by Dr. Pikakshi Manchanda, visited the IBM Client Centre, in Hursley on 1st May 2018. The purpose of the visit was to have a discussion with IBM about a possible research collaboration with the VISTA AR project. There are various services and tools that IBM has developed over the years that could be useful as an integrated solution for the VISTA AR project. There is potential for these tools to be customised for VISTA to use in the Text Analytics part of the project, making it easier to identify patterns and rules.
IBM was able to offer helpful advice which will benefit the project; discussions are continuing about how VISTA may use some of IBM’s tools and services.
