Exeter Cathedral and its partners on the VISTA AR project have been working over the last few months to develop online experiences to enable you to enjoy the delights of this medieval building in an innovative way, even at distance. Digital touch screens on desks have been installed in the Cathedral to present soon some of its historical treasures. Several thousand books and manuscripts have been collected over the centuries and digitised by the Cathedral. The Cathedral collaborated with its Library & Archives section and with VISTA, to make a selection of these relics available to everyone. In parallel with the tactile device, the experience is now also available on line so that you can explore the books from anywhere.

DIGITAL BOOKS EXPERIENCE
After your exploration of the old books, we would be very grateful if you could complete this short survey to help us understand whether online teasers can encourage people to visit in person.
This experience is part of a research project looking at boosting visits to tourist sites funded by the European Regional Development Fund, managed by the Interreg France (Channel) England Programme and led by the University of Exeter.
